After reviewing my unit 3 personal
assessment for psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being I saw that I
rated myself as an
- 8 in Physical
- 5 in Spiritual
- 6 in Psychological
In unit 9 I rated my physical level
at a
- 10 in Physical
- 8 in Spiritual
- 7 in Psychological
It’s changed by a little bit in a
positive way and I think it’s from all that I’ve learned and all the new
meditation practices I’ve incorporated.
The goals and activities I’ve set
for myself are currently being achieved. I am really active and doing my weekly
dance class and yoga/tai chi. I am psychologically not stressing myself or
worrying. Spiritually I am practicing my meditation daily and practicing
patience and loving-kindness more. When I start to feel irritated I ask myself
“Is this how loving-kindness is?” and I think “Nope! Choose happiness, choose
acceptance”.
My
experience in this course has improved my well being through meditation and
relaxation exercises. It has been rewarding because I do feel less stress. The
only difficult part is when I am not meditating I need to still keep a calm
meditative mind (which I am working on). This whole experience will improve my
ability to assist others because I have been through it myself, because I have
learned techniques to suggest to help others, and I can show people the
benefits of integral health/flourishing and encourage them to self-love and
self-heal.

ReplyDeleteIt’s good that all your areas changed some of us didn’t have a great change in all areas like myself. I think it’s just great to see any type of progress in any area no matter how big or small it is. I have to definitely agree with you the meditation practices gave me the change I initially received. They are a great source of peacefully calming practices and great for relaxation techniques and to get that quick peace of mind. I can’t believe I’m just now trying this it would have been useful so many years ago. Great job we made it to the end and learned so many new things which will assist us on our journeys. Heather I'm good for you for making progress. I agree meditation is the key, it has helped me a lot it helps you stay at peace, be more calm, and more relaxed. I know that I will stay committed to meditating for a long time. Good Luck to you!
ReplyDeleteNice job Heather! You sound like you knew a lot of these things already but that this course helped to solidify your practice. I also try to replace negative thoughts with positive now and I definitely have to remind myself but it helps. Enjoy your practices!
